QPGSA Presents Moving Forward Together on 11/12
Please join Northwestern University's Queer Pride Graduate Student Association (QPGSA) on Monday, November 12 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM for Moving Forward Together, a discussion of LGBTQ+ legal concerns and civil rights under the Trump administration.
Moving Forward Together convenes legal experts in LGBTQ+ legal concerns and civil rights to discuss the future of LGBTQ+ issues under the Trump administration, particularly in light of the Kavanaugh confirmation, Trump's anti-trans memo, and the midterm elections. Experts will provide brief presentations, discussion, and audience Q&A around a series of key legal topics, to include:

Transgender legal erasure and other trans-related legal hurdles

Potential challenges to marriage equality

Gender nonconformity and the law

Asylum and immigration issues for LGBTQ+ people

Religious-based discrimination
The event will be held on the Chicago campus at the Baldwin Auditorium in the Robert H. Lurie Medical Research Center (303 E. Superior Chicago, IL 60611). A light reception will follow.
