NU in Chicago Offering Free Tours of Chicago on 10/6

You made it to Evanston. Now it's time to get into Chicago.

NU in Chicago is a Northwestern program designed to introduce students to some of the diverse assets and resources of the city.

The Center for Civic Engagement welcomes graduate students to sign up now for a free afternoon of guided exploration with Northwestern faculty, distinguished alumni and community leaders on Saturday, October 6. All tours are FREE, including transportation, any admission costs and refreshments.

Students can choose from three tracks, which will explore key civic sites, museums and innovative organizations.

  • Arts in Chicago: Experience Chicago’s art scene, from innovative galleries to world-famous museums
  • History of Black Chicago: Learn about the West Side, including Martin Luther King's work around fair housing
  • Windy City Politics: Get the inside scoop on Chicago politics by examining Obama's legacy & more
All trips are designed to be fun and accessible for any student, with no previous knowledge about the topic required. This is an excellent way to explore your new city alongside faculty & peers who share your interests.
