NIAID Policy for T32 and T35 Competing Renewal Application Submissions
NIH Notice Number: NOT-AI-18-040 outlines guidelines for T32 and T35 competing renewal applications.
NIAID allows up to two opportunities to submit a T32 (Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Institutional Research Training Grant (Parent T32) (PA-18-403)) or T35 (Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award (NRSA) Short-Term Institutional Research Training Grant (Parent T35) (PA-18-404)) application for funding consideration in the same fiscal year.
Beginning with the Sept 25, 2018 application due date and beyond, NIAID will NOT accept for review any competitive renewal (T2) T32 or T35 application that is submitted more than 18 months before the project end date of the current non-competing award. Any such early applications will be withdrawn; PD(s)/PI(s) will have the option of submitting the renewal application later.
