Register for the GREAT/GRAND Community Forum

The AAMC is providing a series of GREAT/GRAND Community Forums as a platform for sharing important policy updates and other timely information with the GREAT Group and GRAND communities.

Register now for the first conversation on Wednesday, July 24 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM ET with AAMC senior director of science policy and regulatory counsel Heather Pierce, JD, MPH, as she discusses two Key Issues in Science and Research Policy: Data Sharing and Foreign Government Influence. These two topics affect trainees and faculty at all levels:

  • Learn about the role your faculty and trainees can play in promoting effective data sharing and how your institution can track and acknowledge the impact of shared data.
  • Hear about current federal efforts to address external threats to research integrity and consider strategies for finding the balance between protecting institutional intellectual property and supporting international trainees and investigators.

Registration is also available for the entire series as a package, including for the second conversation on Wednesday, September 25 on Insights on Federal Funding and the NIH.

You may also submit questions ahead of time to Amanda Field, PhD, AAMC Science Policy Specialist, at afield@aamc.org.
