Powerful anthems such as "Mississippi Goddam," "Old Jim Crow," and "To Be Young, Gifted and Black" followed, fueling the Civil Rights movement and transforming her public persona from songstress to activist. Celebrate Ms. Simone's lasting legacy in this provocative and personal musical journey.
Northlight Theatre in Skokie, IL will facilitate a talk back with the cast and audience after the show.
One Book has purchased tickets for the show on February 3 at 2:30 PM. The event is free and open to Northwestern students only. Round trip transportation is provided.
