Holiday Greetings from The Graduate School!

Graphic with snowflakes that says "Happy Holidays from The Graduate School"

Dear Members of The Graduate School (TGS) Community,

2021 was full of twists and turns, and your resiliency and commitment to graduate education were constants. You all have remained diligent in following health and safety practices, and you continue to lift up one another through the very real challenges facing our society. You should feel pride in fostering this deep sense of connection, and The Graduate School will continue to lead, partner, and support you in these endeavors.

I continue to admire the tremendous passion and sense of support that is prevalent within our TGS community. Your research, teaching, performances, experiments, and discoveries are shaping the world and contributing to our shared society in powerful and meaningful ways. As we conclude our celebration of the 125th anniversary of the first PhD conferral at Northwestern, I am optimistic and confident about our future.

Please continue to prioritize your health and safety during the holidays so we all can return to our scholarly pursuits without delay or disruption in January. I hope the Winter Recess provides many wonderful opportunities to relax and recharge, whether through peaceful solitude and quiet contemplation or the laughter and warmth of family and friends.

May this holiday season bring you and your loved ones joy and good cheer! My best wishes for a bright and happy new year.

Sincerely,
Kelly
