Postdoctoral Positions Available in The Ohio State University Department of Cell Biology and Physiology

Our NIH-funded projects involve using protein-protein interaction and kinase activity assays and other molecular biology techniques as well as cutting-edge electrophysiological techniques including optical mapping, confocal/multi-photon high resolution imaging, and patch clamping. The Ai lab offers a unique, dynamic environment encompassing both basic science and translational research funded by the NIH. Qualified candidates will receive advanced training from the PI and the research team to enhance their professional skills and academic career development. This may include designing, specific planning and preparation of materials for experimental work, execution of experiments, documentation of procedures, compilation and analysis of acquired data, derivation of conclusions, communication of results, and conference presentation/networking. Compensation and benefits will be commensurate with the applicant's experience.

Qualified candidates must hold a PhD, MD or equivalent degree in the field of biomedical research. Candidates with education and experience in electrophysiology or molecular biochemistry or both are preferred.

We are seeking highly motivated individuals trained in either electrophysiology or molecular biology or both to contribute to our research in stress-induced molecular & electrophysiological remodeling in the development of cardiac arrhythmia and heart failure as well as ischemic stroke-caused brain injury.
