The Alumnae of Northwestern University Graduate Fellowship 2021-22

Award: up to $20,000 to be applied to tuition for the 2021-2022 academic year. 

Who is Eligible: Alumni of Northwestern University (degree completed before Fall 2021) who are seeking an additional Northwestern degree in a terminal Master’s program. Applicants may be newly admitted or currently enrolled as full-time students in a single terminal Master’s Degree Program at Northwestern during the 2020-21 academic year. Dual degree programs are not eligible.

Description: The Alumnae of Northwestern University offers this graduate fellowship to Northwestern alumni, preferably women, who show promise of achieving distinction in their field and bringing credit to the University. Criteria for selection include quality of scholarship, leadership, community service, professional experience, and financial need. Special consideration will be given to students who plan to pursue a career that serves the public good.

Application Process: The Alumnae of Northwestern University must receive the completed application with all supplemental materials including recommendations by midnight CST on Friday, April 16. Application checklist of materials - all to be submitted at the same time:

  • Completed Application Form
  • Personal Statement that includes your need for financial assistance
  • Current resume
  • Proof of Acceptance to terminal Master’s Degree Program
  • Academic transcript(s) from Northwestern (original not needed) Two letters of recommendation are required from persons who can evaluate your qualifications for this Fellowship.
Each letter is to be submitted as an attachment in an email directly to Alumnae.Grad.Fellowships@gmail.com by Friday, April 16. Applicants will be notified when their completed applications (including letters of recommendation) are received. Award recipients will be notified by Sunday, May 30.
