Practical training in verbal communication and presentation strategies is needed for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers from any field to build confidence and create engaging and meaningful connections with a variety of audiences. RCTP provides this training, with experts from theatre, broadcast journalism, marketing, education, and strategic business communications.
The Spring 2023 RCTP is a 10-week workshop series designed to enhance the communication skills of TGS students and postdoctoral trainees across disciplines and backgrounds. The program will be held in person this spring with cohorts in Evanston and Chicago. Participants will learn to employ techniques to communicate persuasively and improve their confidence and comfort in speaking about their research.
RCTP is open to all TGS graduate students and postdoctoral trainees from any department or program. Humanities and social sciences majors are highly encouraged to apply! To learn more, please visit the RCTP website.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received, but this form will be closed on Friday, February 10. Participants will be notified of the acceptance results by Friday, March 3. Space is limited.
