Young Scientist Seminars (YSS) 2020 Applications Due December 16

The Young Scientist Seminars (YSS) is a video series produced by iBiology that features early-career scientists giving talks about their discoveries. It is a great opportunity for PhD students and postdoctoral trainees to improve their science communication skills and share their work. YSS is a collaboration between the Albert and Mary Lasker Foundation, the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stony Brook University, and iBiology.

Participants in the 2020 YSS workshop must apply to be selected. Four winners will attend a science communication workshop in San Francisco led by iBiology, in collaboration with the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science. After this training, the selected winners record their 30-minute talks in a green screen studio, and their talks are posted on iBiology.org as part of the Young Scientist Seminars series. All iBiology videos are open-access and reach a global audience.
