NDIAS Call for Residential Fellows for 2020-21
The Notre Dame Institute for Advanced Study (NDIAS) supports outstanding, innovative research in all academic disciplines and encourages its Fellows to explore the relationship between the world as it is and as it ought to be, as well as how their work related to the scholarship of others in an engaging academic community of scholars, artists, and scientists.
Inspired by the classical values of truth, goodness, and beauty, the NDIAS challenges its Fellows to address fundamental and enduring questions about life, meaning, and purpose in relationship to their particular projects, to examine how their findings might influence the world in positive and concrete ways, and to think through the ethical implications of their research.
Fellows receive stipends up to $90,000, subsidized housing, research funding, a faculty office, and multiple opportunities for engagement at the University of Notre Dame. Those with promising and appropriate projects, whether distinguished and established or beginning a career are invited to apply.
