42nd Annual Midwest Biopharmaceutical Statistics Workshop May 20-22

The 42nd Annual Midwest Biopharmaceutical Statistics Workshop (MBSW) will be held from May 20-22 at Renaissance Indianapolis North Hotel, Indianapolis, Indiana. Online registration is now open! Students who are interested in biopharmaceutical statistics may fill out student financial application form for student travel grants. Preference is given to students presenting a poster. The workshop registration fee for students is expected to be waived if a travel grant is approved (students are responsible for the short course fees if interested.)

The MBSW's purpose is to foster discussion on Statistical methodology in the Pharmaceutical industry.  Four concurrent tracks of topics in Clinical, Discovery/Preclinical, Real World Evidence/Programming/Data Visualization, and CM&C (manufacturing) will each consist of 3 three-hour sessions with sufficient time for in-depth presentation and discussion.

The Poster Session is open to students with the only guideline being that the topic relates to Pharmaceutical Statistics or Biostatistics in general including programming tips. MBSW also considering a buddy/pairing program so that all student attendees will have the opportunity to interact with a dedicated pharmaceutical industry professional.

The Charlie Sampson Poster Award was created to commemorate Charlie's contributions to the MBSW since its inception 42 years ago. To qualify for the award, the author(s) of the poster must be a current full-time student(s) or students who will have graduated in 2019. The award consists of a certificate and $200 cash recognition to be presented at the banquet on Tuesday night. Posters will be judged on content, originality, presentation, and contribution to a biopharmaceutical issue.

Abstract submission for posters is required and must be submitted online via this link by Monday, April 8.
