2022 McBride Awards
Named for Dwight A. McBride, PhD, former Daniel Hale Williams Professor of African American Studies, English & Performance Studies, Dean of The Graduate School, and Associate Provost for Graduate Education from 2010 to 2017, this award recognizes one outstanding TGS student and one postdoctoral trainee who go above and beyond in any or all of the areas of diversity, service, and engagement: the strategic priorities McBride worked to foster in the graduate community at Northwestern.

"Zoha tirelessly works to serve the Northwestern graduate community on top of doing her own research at Northwestern and at Argonne National Lab. She is involved in and leads several student organizations, including Women in Science and Engineering Research (WISER), the chemistry honor society Phi Lambda Upsilon (PLU), the Graduate Leadership and Advocacy Committee (GLAC), and the Northwestern University COVID-19 Committee (NUCC)."

"As a postdoctoral scholar, Rashmi has contributed not only to the research activities of her group but has been pivotal to the success of the Northwestern University Postdoctoral Association. As the Professional Development Chair, she has been instrumental in leading three key collaborations with internal and external graduate student and postdoctoral organizations."
