Office of Postdoctoral Affairs

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) serves as a central resource for postdoctoral training and education at Northwestern University. The OPA provides information and assistance on recruitment, appointment, orientation, policies, and employee relations and manages inquiries and requests from postdoctoral scholars, staff and faculty members. 

The OPA works with Northwestern postdoctoral scholars, faculty members and staff on:

• Providing access to professional and career development resources
• Distribution of faculty resources on recruitment, appointment and mentoring
• Building a strong and interactive postdoctoral community
• Implementation of postdoctoral scholar training policies and guidelines

Postdoctoral candidates: Please note that this office does not select postdoctoral scholars.
