BioSurvival Skills: Working With (not against) Your Data

In this two part workshop Dr. Erik Andersen and Dr. Leah Welty will discuss best practices for collecting, analyzing and managing data in a reproducible manner. 

Day 1
May 15, 9:00am – 11:00am, Cook 3118A/B
Topics: making data structures, the reproducibility software package Git and how GitHub scales reproducible code and analyses for individuals or large groups
Day 2
May 22, 9:00am – 11:00am, Cook 3118A/B
Topics: basics of R will be explored and participants will use their own data set in a practical application of the topics discussed. 
While not required, it is strongly encouraged that you attend both sessions since the material will build on itself
