TGS Professional Development Workshops: Fellowship Proposal Writing Workshop

Modified: December 22, 2014

The Graduate School at Northwestern University (TGS) offers a variety of resources and programming to contribute to the professional development of our graduate students and postdoctoral fellows. Read more here.  Details and registration for upcoming workshops are below!

Fellowship Proposal Writing Workshop

The Graduate School offers a series of fellowship proposal writing workshops in alignment with specific deadlines and led by writing experts. The goal is to help students and postdoctoral fellows produce the strongest possible writing for proposals, understand what reviewers are looking for, edit writing to be clear, concise, interesting, and persuasive, and increase the likelihood of securing funding. Participants should be prepared to bring drafts of their grant proposals to each session for peer and instructor review. This is a writing workshop, and you will be expected to work on your material in these workshop sessions.
The workshop will meet on ALL of the following dates:

  • Feb 3, Feb 10, Feb 17, Feb 24, and Mar 3 from 330-5 PM on the Evanston Campus (Exact location TBA). Please register here.
  • Jan 27, Feb 3, Feb 17, Mar 3 and Mar 10th from 5-630 PM on the Chicago Campus (Exact location TBA). Please register here.

Registration is required and space is limited.  Please have your advisor/supervisor send a very brief email of support (1-2 sentences will suffice) to Kate Veraldi no later than January 26th.
