Introduction to Graduate Education (IGEN)

The Graduate School at Northwestern University's Office of Diversity and Inclusion is pleased to announce that applications are now open for our 2022 Introduction to Graduate Education at Northwestern (IGEN), which will be held in person Thursday, September 29 through Saturday, October 1. The application deadline is Friday, July 15.

Introduction to Graduate Education at Northwestern (IGEN) is a program for diverse rising juniors and seniors interested in doctoral study. IGEN provides an opportunity for prospective students to network with faculty, staff, and current students from doctoral programs.  

IGEN is a fully-funded two day program that includes accommodations in downtown Chicago and visits to Northwestern's Chicago and Evanston campuses. 

All IGEN participants will receive round-trip travel to Northwestern, two-night accommodations, an application fee waiver for doctoral programs in TGS.
