Institute for Augmented Intelligence in Medicine (I.AIM) Postdoctoral Fellow Position
The mission of the Institute for Augmented Intelligence in Medicine (I.AIM) is to bridge computational methods with human expertise to advance medical science and improve human health. I.AIM aspires to be the premier academic institution applying augmented intelligence to human health. The creative application of artificial intelligence; machine learning and stored information to improve pattern recognition; genetic analysis and deep phenotyping of health data is anchored by our commitment to responsible; and ethical and open science.
I.AIM is seeking a highly-motivated individual to work in the area of data science and biomedical informatics, with a special focus on data integration and quality. The successful candidate will join a dynamic research environment in the Chicago downtown medical campus and a highly collaborative research team.
Successful candidates must hold a PhD or equivalent degree with expertise relevant to the research areas. Prior experience with EHR data and data standards or a related field is preferred.
Successful candidates must have excellent oral and written communication skills evidenced by a record of research publications and presentations, and must be self-driven with the ability to work in a team environment. The position requires excellent organizational skills and research independence. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the activities of their project, possibly leading PhD students, managing projects and generating data, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, and presenting at conferences.
