Apply to be a Graduate Assistant for CCE

The Center for Civic Engagement is looking for two Graduate Assistants to join their team in winter 2020. All PhD students in their second through fifth years are eligible to apply. Students in the humanities and social sciences may be able to use the GA-ship to “bank” up to four quarters of University funding.

GEO Community Practicum Priority Deadline

The priority deadline for the spring 2020 GEO Community Practicum is Friday, November 15. GEO combines an internship at a non-profit or governmental organization with an interdisciplinary graduate seminar on public scholarship. This year’s GEO seminar will be co-taught by Jim Farr, professor of political science and director of Chicago field studies, and Tom Ogorzalek, assistant professor of political science and co-director of the Chicago Democracy Project.
