2019-20 New York State Senate Graduate/Post-Graduate/Mid-Career Fellowship Applications Now Open
The Senate 2019-20 Graduate/Post-Graduate/Mid-Career Fellowships application deadline is Friday, April 26. There are generally 16 fellowships awarded each year. Students are not required to presently reside or to attend school in New York. However, students must be United States citizens at the time of application. Please note the Biggane Fellowship is open to mid-career applicants who have attained previous graduate-level experience.
Enrollment in the 2019-20 Fellowship cycle begins Thursday, September 5 and continues full-time through Wednesday, June 24.
Applications from a wide range of interests and disciplines are welcome and encouraged. Training in the history/politics/government of New York State is not required. Placements are usually to the office of an elected member of the Senate or to a central staff office.
The Fellowship stipend is $33,00 and is prorated over the term of the Fellowship. The stipend is also subject to taxation and is paid in biweekly installments.
