Mentored Discussions of Teaching (MDT)
Observe and meet with faculty to discuss their approaches to teaching and learning through Mentored Discussions of Teaching (MDT), a flexible quarter-long program offered through the Center for the Integration of Research, Teaching, and Learning (CIRTL) at Northwestern.
- MDT is designed to accommodate the busy lives of graduate students and postdoctoral trainees
- Register by Wednesday, December 19 to participate
- If there is enough interest, meetings will be held on both the Evanston and Chicago campuses
MDT is a quarter-long program where STEM and social science graduate students and postdoctoral trainees learn about and discuss teaching and learning in their disciplines. Participants are paired with a faculty mentor to meet with and observe several sessions of their course. Participants also attend three group meetings where they discuss literature about teaching and learning and share their perspectives from their teaching observations.
