NIH Extramural Loan Repayment Programs (LRP) Applications for 2019
The National Institute of Health Loan Repayment Programs (NIH LRP) are a set of programs designed to recruit and retain highly qualified health professionals into biomedical or biobehavioral research careers. The programs repay up to $35,000 annually of a researcher's qualified educational debt in return for a commitment to engage in NIH mission-relevant research at a domestic, nonprofit, or government entity. The application period for the 2019 NIH Extramural LRP runs from September 1, 2018 through November 15, 2018.
Institutional Certification
Keep in mind that Northwestern applicants must have an Institutional Business Official from OSR confirm and certify their status before their application can be submitted to NIH. If you or a researcher in your unit is interested in applying to the LRP, you are encouraged to submit the required Northwestern LRP Certification Form to OSR at least five (5) business days before the NIH deadline.
