NUPF Presents: 2018 Current Research & Future Career Symposium
NUPF is partnering with the Bioprofessionals Career Development Program, the Searle Center for Advancing Learning and Teaching, and the Northwestern Office of Postdoctoral Affairs to bring you the 2018 Current Research & Future Career Symposium. The Symposium is open to all postdocs and graduate students in any discipline at Northwestern.
What is new this year?
1. A 2 hour workshop prior to the symposium lead by the RSG Communication Training Program that will provide the Symposium oral presenters with the best tips and preparation to nail the 7-minute short talks.
2. A career fair organized in collaboration with the Northwestern Career Advancement Office that will occur simultaneously to the symposium, giving the opportunity to local employers and attendees to talk during poster presentations, short talks and the networking reception at the end of the Symposium day.
2018 RSVP and Abstract Submission
To participate in the oral presentation selection, you must send a 2 minute video abstract along with the written abstract . You can be as creative as you desire - they only have two requirements: that they learn something new and they are excited about your research. Video abstract finalists will present their work at the symposium session immediately after the keynote talk from Shanthi Ganeshan, VP and US Head, Regulatory Affairs, Novartis Oncology (and Northwestern alumna). They will also have the opportunity to polish their presentation and communication skills during the RSG Communication Program workshop.
The deadline for all abstract submissions is Friday, July 31, 2018 at 5 PM.
Presenters will be notified by Monday, August 6, 2018 of their status.
