NU Public Humanities Colloquium – Lunch at the Block!

Created: November 29, 2018

Interested in the public life of the humanities? Curious about alternative careers for humanities doctoral students? Join the NU Public Humanities Colloquium! This year's series of events will kick off with lunch at the Block Museum on Tuesday, December 4.

History doctoral student Angela Tate will talk about her experiences in the Humanities Without Walls career diversity summer workshop, Block Museum staff will discuss their career paths, and the Graduate Engagement Opportunity--a partnership of the Center for Civic Engagement, Chicago Field Studies, and The Graduate School will be discussed. Pizza will be provided and there will be discussions about potential events in the coming year.

This event is especially designed for current Northwestern grad students and recent doctoral and MA grads, but all are welcome. Lunch will be provided thanks to the Center for Civic Engagement, and this event is generously co-sponsored by the Alice Kaplan Institute for the Humanities

Please email questions to conveners: Angela Tate AngelaTate2022@u.northwestern.edu and Beka Bryer RebekahBryer2022@u.northwestern.edu, or to Liz McCabe lizmccabe@northwestern.edu.
