Graduate Engagement Opportunities (GEO) Practicum

Apply for the Graduate Engagement Opportunities (GEO) Practicum offered in Spring 2018 by Monday, January 22. The online application can be found here.

They will host a final Drop-In Info Session at the Center for Civic Engagement (1813 Hinman Ave. - right next to Admissions) onThursday, January 18 from 12-3PM to meet with students interested in the program. Feel free to contact them directly with questions.  

About GEO: GEO is a quarter-long program for graduate students that combines a community-based practicum with a credit-bearing seminar. Whether you are a graduate student in STEM, the humanities, or social sciences, GEO offers students the opportunity to engage with local community partners and to hone their scholarship and methods through the model of a practicum. 

Participate in GEO to: 

  • Develop or apply your research in real-world contexts
  • Gain skills for academic and non-academic jobs
  • Explore civic engagement with faculty and grad students across disciplines
