Professional Mentoring Skills Enhancing Diversity (PROMISED) Training, register by August 1

Modified: July 26, 2016

Northwestern faculty can build their leadership skills through the Professional Mentoring Skills Enhancing Diversity (PROMISED) program. PROMISED training will expand career coaching, leadership, and mentoring skills to help faculty members more effectively mentor scientists from a variety of backgrounds. PROMISED offers an innovative, no-cost program that combines: Two-day career coach training in Pittsburgh for mentors passionate about helping mentees drive their careers forward; a series of one-month, online training modules, focused on helping mentors develop a range of critical leadership skills.

Participants in career coaching will receive a lodging stipend and CME credit. Participants who complete both components of the program will also earn a Certificate in Leadership and recognition as National Research Mentoring Network (NRMN) fellows. Faculty members that  are a mentor at the associate professor level or equivalent, should apply by August 1. More information is available on their website.
