Planning and Presenting a Conference Poster

This 4-hour workshop (split into two sessions) is designed for graduate students and postdocs who have submitted an abstract for a conference poster presentation. Attendees should come with laptops, resources, and having applied to a specific conference or already have an abstract accepted for poster presentation. The workshop will teach the basics of poster design, introduce some of the tools available, and the best methods to reach an audience. Attendees will learn the basic elements of design, planning methods, PowerPoint tips, and characteristics of award-winning posters. In the second session, participants will get feedback on their first draft designs and have the opportunity to rehearse their presentation skills. Workshops will take place on both the Evanston and Chicago campuses and registration is required:
