Part-time Project Manager position available

House by Northwestern (HBN) is Northwestern University’s first-ever team for the Dept. of Energy Solar Decathlon. In partnership with Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, Thornton Tomasetti, DIRTT Environmental Solutions, Power Construction, and other industry leaders, HBN is designing and constructing a solar-powered, net-energy-positive, 1,000 sq. ft. home for the 2017 competition. HBN seeks a highly organized and collaborative student to serve the team as Project Manager from September 2016 through December 2017. 

About this role
The student Project Manager position, one of four team officer positions required for any Solar Decathlon team, is a key role that must be filled and executed by a committed and motivated decathlete (a graduate or undergraduate student at Northwestern University). Students who plan to graduate in Spring 2017 are eligible to participate in the competition in Fall 2017. The Project Manager will be expected to work part-time during the 2016-17 school year, full time during Summer 2017, and at least part-time during Fall 2017. This position could be structured to satisfy graduate program/thesis requirements or could be paid hourly, depending on the candidate.The Project Manager (and all team officers) reports to the Director of Program Operations, Partnerships, & Communications.
