Makola Abdullah introduced as the president of Virginia State University

TGS alum, Makola M. Abdullah, was introduced as the new president of Virginia State University on Friday, December 11th. He is expected to take office on February 1st.

Abdullah received his PhD in Civil Engineering from The Graduate School in 1994. He has held many impressive leadership roles, including Associate Vice President for Research and Dean of the College of Engineering Sciences, Technology and Agriculture at Florida A&M University, Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Florida Memorial University, and Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs at Bethune-Cookman University.
