Call for papers: Newberry Consortium in American Indian Studies Graduate Conference

Modified: May 18, 2016
August 5-6, 2016
Submission deadline: June 27, 2016

Graduate students are invited to present papers in any academic field relating to American Indian and Indigenous Studies.  They encourage the submission of proposals for papers that examine a wide variety of subjects relating to American Indian and Indigenous history and culture broadly conceived.

The conference will take place on the final two days of the NCAIS summer institute (August 5-6, 2016). Faculty liaisons in attendance have agreed to provide feedback on individual presentations relevant to their expertise. First-time presenters are encouraged.

To propose a paper, please send a one-page proposal, a statement explaining the relationship of the paper to your other work, and a brief C.V. to D’Arcy McNickle.
The deadline for submission is Monday, June 27, 2016.

If you have any questions or would like to receive announcements and updates about NCAIS programs or to subscribe to the NCAIS mailing list, send an email request to McNickle Center Program Assistant, Madeleine Krass.
