Northwestern Interdisciplinary Global Health Symposium

You are invited to register for the upcoming Northwestern Interdisciplinary Global Health Symposium being held on the 19thand 20thof November 2015 on the Northwestern Chicago campus. 

This two-day event, jointly sponsored by the Equality, Development and Globalization Studies (EDGS), the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern Law School, Kellogg Business School, Program of African Studies, Buffet Institute for Global Studies and the Institute of Public Health and Medicine (IPHAM), will explore interdisciplinary questions that affect the practice of public health locally and internationally.

The keynote speaker for this event is Professor Jeffrey Sachs, Director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University. Professor Sachs is a world-renowned professor of economics, leader in sustainable development, senior UN adviser, bestselling author, and syndicated columnist whose monthly newspaper columns appear in more than 100 countries. He has twice been named among Time Magazine’s 100 most influential world leaders and was called by the New York Times, “probably the most important economist in the world,” and by Time Magazine “the world’s best known economist.”
