Argonne National Laboratory 2015 Research Aide Program

Modified: January 12, 2015

Argonne National Laboratory is seeking highly motivated and energetic graduate students for the 2015 Research Aide Program.

Over the years, Argonne has supported thousands of graduate students in their explorations of STEM research careers; provided access to cutting-edge research facilities and fostered relationships with world-class scientists all within 30 miles of the third largest city in the country. We are looking to grow our summer 2015 cohort of graduate students.

The Research Aide program for graduate students offers temporary employment to college/university students that provide the opportunity to apply technical knowledge and skills while assisting Argonne scientific and engineering staff on key mission science projects.

Student-level temporary employees are assigned specific technical tasks determined by their division, they earn a salary and are expected to possess the skills required to do the assigned task when they arrive. Understanding the scientific basis for the temporary employee's work is generally not emphasized. The maximum time allowable on a Research Aide appointment is 5-1/2 months.

Only those applications meeting all requirements will be advanced for merit review and selection. The application materials received will provide the sole basis for the evaluation and selection.
