Rebecca Tonietto Receives David H. Smith Conservation Research Fellowship

Congratulations to Rebecca Tonietto who has been awarded The David H. Smith Conservation Research Fellowship in 2015. The Smith Fellowship Program seeks to develop future world leaders and entrepreneurs who are successful at linking conservation science and application. Smith Fellowships provide two years of postdoctoral support to outstanding early-career scientists.

Tonietto’s research is "Conserving native bees and pollination services in shrinking cities" and will be working with a team of mentors including Gerardo Camilo, PhD (St. Louis University), Mike Arduser, Paul Gobster PhD (US Forest Service), and Kelly Garbach PhD (Loyola University).

Tonietto is also a recipient of the Presidential Fellowship, the most prestigious fellowship awarded by The Graduate School.
