Northwestern University is committed to recruiting a diverse student population. To this end, The Graduate School's Office of Student Life and Multicultural Affairs (SLMA) coordinates various recruiting and retention programs for underrepresented minority groups. For example, Northwestern faculty and graduate students do recruiting visits at colleges and universities across the country, in addition to attending various academic conferences.
