Each quarter, The Graduate School invites you to gather with students outside the lab and library and have a drink and a bite to eat with colleagues from across campus. The Graduate School provides refreshments and admission to all attendees free of charge.
Building a graduate student community is one of our goals at The Graduate School, and we believe that providing this kind of event is right in line with this goal. We will be hosting these events quarterly; students that did not attend one quarterly event may have the opportunity to join the fun next time!
What graduate students have said about TGS Night Out:
"I think it was a wonderfully organized event. Good timing and environment. I met people outside my department, and school, and all around enjoyed myself. Keep up the events." -L.G.

"I think that the "TGS Night Out" is an excellent idea. I had a wonderful time yesterday. I got to know people from other disciplines, learned about their (sometimes really exciting) projects (and other things), and all that while having very good food and drinks, in a highly enjoyable setting. Thank you very much for this event!" Best, W.T.

"It was great! Please do it again! I talked with colleagues in Anthropology, Economics, Chemistry, and Business -- not too bad for someone who spends most campus hours in University Hall or the library. I also had a good chat with Grad Dean Simon Greenwold.
Thanks so much, and looking forward to the next one." -D.G.
