Winter Quarter 2007

UPass Committee

A "Upass" committee was formed at the Jan 24th GLC Public Opinion and Q&A session.  This committee consists of both students for the UPass, and students against the Upass's current implementation. They will be designing and analyzing the UPass satisfaction survey which will go out before summer, to gather more data concerning the UPass and to analyze the survey results.  To join the U-Pass Committee, e-mail  kez@northwestern.edu or s-king5@northwestern.edu.

Language requirements

Many graduate programs require proficiency in foreign languages, but graduate students do not have access to foreign languages courses that would meet their needs.  This can result in undo financial and psychological stress on graduate students.  The GLC is looking into possible solutions to this predicament.  Kelby Harrison is the GLC delegate fronting this issue, if you would like to help, e-mail k-harrison2@northwestern.edu

GLC "At Large" Delegates

The GLC is hoping to have graduate-wide elections for "At Large" delegates in the next two quarters, more information will be sent to all graduate students as it becomes available.
