On December 7, 2007, the GLC presented their annual report on the life of a graduate student to the Board of Trustees of the Student Affairs Committee.  They also produced a written document.

Winter Quarter 2007

UPass Committee

A UPass committee was formed at the January 24th GLC Public Opinion and Q&A session.  This committee consists of both students for the UPass and students against the UPass' current implementation. They will be designing and analyzing the UPass satisfaction survey which will be distributed before summer to gather more data concerning UPass use.  To join the UPass Committee, e-mail kez@northwestern.edu or s-king5@northwestern.edu.

Language requirements

Many graduate programs require proficiency in foreign languages, but graduate students do not have access to foreign language courses that meet their needs.  This can result in undue financial and psychological stress on students.  The GLC is looking into possible solutions to this predicament.  If you would like to contribute your ideas, e-mail Kelby Harrison at k-harrison2@northwestern.edu.

GLC "At Large" Delegates

The GLC is hoping to have graduate-wide elections for "At Large" delegates in the next two quarters.  More information will be sent to all graduate students as it becomes available.
