Advanced Professional and Presentation Skills for Graduate Students and Postdoctoral Fellows

Modified: August 9, 2017

This series of engaging lectures and one-on-one coaching for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows with Dr. Daniel Moser focuses on the development of presentation skills necessary for success within the professional world.

Through 3 short group lectures and 2 one-on-one coaching sessions, each participant will receive personalized attention tailored to the realities of professional and academic practice. Participants will leave the workshop with increased technical and soft skills in effective communication: non-verbal body language, critical listening, storytelling, leadership presence, managing anxiety, and structuring a clear message through visual design.

This popular workshop meets three times on Monday, August 14; Monday, August 21; and Tuesday, August 22 from 4:00 – 5:30pm. Additionally, two one-on-one coaching sessions will be scheduled during our first group meeting. The workshop will take place on the Chicago Campus in Wieboldt Hall Room 409.

All TGS graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are welcome to attend. Registration is required as space is limited. Advance your career by developing these essential, compelling, and persuasive professional skills.  Register here to participate.
