Title: Project Associate, Medicine Service Line Intelligence Team

Location: Skokie, IL

Job Summary: The Project Associate will focus on the development of medicine service line intelligence offerings and advisory for Sg2’s health care clients. The Project Associate will analyze health care trends, emerging clinical developments, and market forces that will shape the future of medicine service line care delivery, helping to translate these factors into strategic business recommendations. As part of Sg2's team of experts, he/she will be engaged in various areas of our business, including:

  • Research, synthesize and write succinct reports in response to client questions/projects. Research methods and sources include the following:
    • Search and synthesize scientific literature, health policy reports and industry journals
    • Leverage Sg2’s proprietary healthcare databases and analytical tools for projections and benchmarks
    • Analyze multiple external data sources to identify key trends
    • Conduct telephone interviews with hospital administrators and healthcare providers
    • Utilize Sg2’s existing internal library and expert knowledge base
    • Communicate with clients via phone and email to fully understand their research needs and expectations (i.e. scope)
  • Work closely with Sg2 experts and client service team to ensure high quality, timely responses to client requests, resulting in increased customer satisfaction and stronger client relationships
  • Provide appropriate levels of thought leadership around the future of medicine service line working closely with team members to devise recommendations and strategies for our members/clients
  • Contribute to updating Sg2’s industry leading forecasting tool – the Impact of Change
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure execution and delivery of original thought leadership to our clients across a variety of platforms including publications, presentations, planning tools, webinars, and conferences
  • Participate in client presentations and medicine service line-related consulting projects
  • Provide ongoing advisory services to members regarding potential program development, capital investment, service placement and workforce considerations

The ultimate goal is to provide comprehensive research and data-driven strategic intelligence to improve the clinical, operational and financial success of services at client health care organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS: We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a consistent record of professional and personal achievement. Creativity, initiative, resourcefulness and an entrepreneurial spirit are a must, in addition to the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (RN, MBA, MHA, Masters, MD, PhD) preferred in clinical services, biological/biomedical sciences, health administration, or policy
  • Work experience – 2+ years in a hospital/health system, payer, or health care-related company; hospital experience preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite – Word, PPT, Excel; database skills a plus
  • Proven organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as demonstrated by the ability to synthesize research and interviews into health care strategy recommendations
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills-both written and verbal
  • Well-developed people management and client relationship skills
