Benefits Information Sessions

In 2017, the Benefits Division will be offering monthly information sessions to increase Faculty and Staff awareness of the benefit plans available to them. The February session is titled, "Understanding your Flexible Spending Account (FSA) and Health Savings Account (HSA) in 2017." This event is intended to explain how to best use your FSA and HSA dollars and understand how the Payflex system works, including online account set-up.

Session Topics

During this session we will discuss:

  • What is an FSA/HSA plan?
  • Understanding how to use your debit card or file claims with Payflex.
  • Setting up your online account with Payflex.
  • Dependent Care FSA and the Northwestern matching program.
  • IRS regulations and deadlines for filing.

Times & Dates

This session will be offered at the following dates & times:

  • Chicago Campus: February 14th from noon-1 pm at the Robert H Lurie Medical Research Center in the Grey Seminar Room.
  • Evanston Campus: February 16th from noon-1 pm at the Norris University Center in the Wildcat Room 101.
