Women in Science and Engineering Research (WISER) is hosting a talk by Mumu Xu and Lindsay Claiborn, co-creators of the podcast “Beyond the Microscope,” a podcast sharing the voices of women in STEM. They talk about their podcast, why they do it, and why communication is important for people in STEM and will also answer audience questions. Xu and Claiborn will also participate in a panel later in the day on creative ways to communicate science, alongside Sara Grady (editor of the Northwestern science magazine, HELIX) and Dr. Veronica Berns (who turned her PhD thesis into a comic book).
