Check out the upcoming events from the Women's Center!

Babywearing is the practice of carrying your baby or toddler close with a variety of carriers.  Babywearing promotes bonding, supports breastfeeding, can help combat postpartum depression, makes caregiving easier, and can be a lifesaver for parents of high-needs children. Babywearing International of Chicagoland (BWICL) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to promote babywearing as a universally accepted practice, with benefits for both child and caregiver, through education and support. BWICL is a volunteer based organization that holds free educational meetings across Chicagoland.

Please join Volunteer Babywearing Educator, Suzie Campbell, for an informational presentation on babywearing, its benefits, and safety while wearing.  Suzie will demonstrate how to use 4 different types of carriers and will allow participants to practice wearing carriers using a demo doll.  If you want to bring your own carrier to get tips on how to use it, feel free.
