MSL Program Information

Calling all STEM PhDs interested in Law, Business, & Technology!
There is an increasing demand for individuals with scientific and technical training who can work in cross-functional roles in the space where law, business, and science/technology intersect. The Master of Science in Law (MSL) at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law is an innovative, one-year degree program designed exclusively for individuals trained in science, technology, engineering, math, or medicine. MSL students examine the interface of law, business, and science/technology; learn to communicate across disciplines; develop, protect, and manage intellectual property; bring ideas to market; and navigate the legal and regulatory structures that exist in STEM setting. Scholarships are available.

MSL students are well positioned to pursue careers as patent agents; patent coordinators; scientific advisors; regulatory strategists; compliance officers; scientific advisors; consultants; IP/patent portfolio managers; business developers; business analysts; entrepreneurs; company intrapreneurs; government regulators; policy analysts; and more.
