Contemplate, explore, and expound upon the subject you love. Bring your enthusiasm to life as a Faculty Fellow at Harper College, where your work can have its greatest impact upon individuals from a wide variety of cultures. Harper College welcomes you to inspire others, contribute to your profession, and enjoy the complete educational experience, collegial setting, and advanced technological resources of Harper. Teach more than your discipline. Teach your passion.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain both valuable teaching experience and exposure to the community college as a viable career path. Harper College invites interested and motivated individuals to apply for the Diverse Faculty Fellow program. Applicants must have earned a Master’s Degree or Doctorate from an accredited university no later than June 30, 2017 and the degree must be in a discipline included in an academic department at Harper College (see here: Harper College Academic Areas). The Faculty Fellow program is an important part of the college’s focus on diversity and inclusion, which seeks to better reflect the increasing diversity of its student body and surrounding community.  The fellowship program will assist the College and community college academia in general by helping to identify and mentor potential future faculty members.

Special consideration will be given to applicants who are members of groups that have been historically underrepresented in faculty positions in higher education.

Requirements include:

  • A Master's degree or Doctorate earned no later than June 30, 2017 AND in a discipline or related area that corresponds with educational departments at Harper College.  http://goforward.harpercollege.edu/academics/areas/
