AAMC is pleased to host a three-day, multicultural leadership development seminar targeted to under-represented faculty who are currently:

  • Senior Clinical and Research Fellows
  • Instructors
  • Assistant Professors
  • Postdocs (MDs, PhDs and MD/PhDs)

Minority Faculty Career Development Seminar
Don¹t miss this opportunity to join your fellow junior faculty and post-doctorates in a three day, multi-cultural career development seminar for those who aspire to leadership positions in academic medicine.

Build Skills. Develop key competencies in academic and organizational leadership, grant writing, and communications.

Network. Meet new colleagues and role models. Share your experiences and challenges with your peers.

Strategize. Attend small group career consultation sessions to target specific professional development goals for advancement, explore the requirements for promotion, and acquire tools to get there.

Optional Pre-Conference: Grant Writers Coaching Group for NIH Awards
This coaching group is open to those actively working on both K and R NIH grant proposals, and includes the pre-seminar workshop, as well as virtual group sessions as needed for 2-3 months.

Eligibility: In order to attend this workshop you must be a 2016 MinFac attendee or have attended MinFac in the past.
