BioSurvival Skills Workshop: Improving Presentation Skills

Modified: November 7, 2016

BioProfessionals is pleased to present a BioSurvival Skills Workshop: Improving Presentation Skills. Are you preparing a presentation for an upcoming meeting? Are you a 1st year student organizing your first rotation presentation? Do you have that one slide that never quite works in your presentation? This workshop will discuss tips for how to put together an effective presentation including: knowing how much detail to present based on knowing your audience, ways to transition between slides, and how to effectively use animations. You will have the opportunity to bring examples of slides from your own presentation for discussion and improvement by the group.

This workshop will be held on Monday, November 14, 2016 from 11:30am – 1pm in Cook 3118 (Evanston) and the discussion will be led by Drs. Curt Horvath and Sadie Wignall. Lunch will be provided. Please RSVP to Deborah Klos Dehring (d-klos@northwestern.edu) if you are planning to attend. You will receive an email confirmation of attendance a few days before the workshop.
