Changes to CITI: New Single Sign-On Method

Modified: December 31, 2014

Effective December 3, 2014, individuals affiliated with NU will be required to login to the CITI website via the new SSO (single sign-on) method. This is done by using their NU netID & password rather than previously used CITI username & password.  This change will streamline the process of verifying individuals registered in CITI and accurately identifying training records. Detailed instructions for accessing CITI can be found in this document.
It is important to note that although users will still be able to login via their historical CITI username & password, we strongly advise against doing so.  If they do there is a high probability that any new training will not correctly be tracked and the burden of responsibility for providing proof of completion will be on the user.

Additionally, effective November 25, 2014, CITI has made updates to the RCR training series. A new RCR basic course has automatically replaced the various sets of discipline-specific modules previously available. ORI has already contacted CITI to ensure that the same number and types of modules appear under your preexisting courses. Please visit the CITI webpage should you have any questions about this update.

Questions? Please visit the Office for Research Integrity webpage or email ORI directly.
