NUPF Symposium- Registration deadline August 25th

The Northwestern University Postdoctoral Forum (NUPF) is hosting the 2nd Annual NUPF Symposium: Building a Successful and Satisfying Career - The Power of Research at Northwestern and Beyond.  The symposium will take place on September 3 from 12:30-5:30 pm in the lobby of the Robert H. Lurie Medical Research Center, Chicago Campus. New this year, participants will have the opportunity to have their CV and/or resume reviewed one-on-one with experts, order personal NU business cards, and have headshots taken by a professional photographer (for use on websites like Research Gate and LinkedIn).

Symposium Agenda:

  • Keynote address: 12:30-1:30pm
    • Lisa A. Fortini-Campbell, Kellogg School of Management - “How to be happy in your work”
  • Postdoctoral/graduate student poster session: 1:45-3:15 pm
  • Postdoctoral Oral Presentations: 3:15-4:15 pm
    • Agnes Horvat, Ph.D.
      “Block busters or art cinema: Which productions write film history? Quantifying long-term success in cinema based on a network of film citations”
    • Patrick Burch, Ph.D.
      “Neuritogenic surfaces open a novel approach for the treatment of spinal cord injuries”
  • Networking reception with wine, beer and appetizers: 4:30-5:30 pm
