The Graduate School, along with the Searle Center for Teaching Excellence, offers a series of events that focus on issues related to careers in the professoriate. Interested students should visit the Graduate Student Programs page on the Searle Center’s Web site, and see the Upcoming Events & Calendar section of this Web site.
Students are encouraged to attend the faculty panel discussions held throughout the year, and the annual site visit to one of The Graduate School’s PFF partner schools: Oakton Community College, Northeastern Illinois University, and Lake Forest College. Site visits are designed to educate students about the kinds of responsibilities faculty members have at a variety of institutions.
