At the Cross Honors Colloquium (CHC), Presidential Fellows present their research to outstanding seniors from across undergraduate disciplines.Hosted by the Office of Fellowships, these lunchtime seminars give Presidential Fellows an opportunity to mentor seniors who have held an NU Undergraduate Research Grant or competitive external award and are interested in pursuing graduate study. After each presentation, all participants discuss the implications of the Fellow's research, and the Fellow shares perspectives on independent research and graduate education. Through the CHC, seniors develop a great appreciation for the value graduate students add to a research university. In addition, the Presidential Fellows profit personally and professionally from an experience at mentorship unlike that available in a traditional teaching assistantship.
