The Graduate School sponsors a number of different fellowship and grant competitions to enable students to pursue their specific research interests at each stage of their doctoral experience. Funding opportunties are available for students that wish to receive assistance to travel to a conference as well as to students that wish to spend at least a quarter away from campus conducting research. In addition to these research grant opportunities, The Graduate School offers advanced students the opportunity to apply for a Dissertation Year Fellowship, a fund established to assist our students complete their dissertation writing without the responsibility of teaching. Furthermore, the The Graduate School offers the Presidential Fellowship, the University's most prestigious doctoral fellowship competition. Six to eight Presidential Fellows are awarded each year. The details of this competition and its awardees are included in the following pages.
